JOB TITLE: Facilitated Enrollment Specialist

REPORTS TO: Director of Health Insurance Programs


Responsibilities:
The Facilitated Enrollment Specialist is a position within the Facilitated Enrollment for the Aged, Blind and Disabled (FE-ABD) Program of M&BPN. The position entails working with persons applying for government-sponsored health insurance, with a specific focus on persons aged 65 years or older, certified blind individuals and the certified disabled population. This program is designed to provide a community based alternative to the local Department of Social Services for individuals to apply for health insurance. All aspects of the this programs will be carried out through a team approach under the direction of the Director of Health Insurance Programs, and through its correlation to other M&BPN programs, staff hired through the various programs will also learn about and promote all Network services. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:


Scheduling/Screening:



Provide in person assistance to individuals to complete the application process for the government sponsored health insurance.

THE POSITION OF ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST IS FULL-TIME AND CLASSIFIED AS A NON-EXEMPT POSITION AND IS THEREFORE NOT EXCLUDED FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT.



JOB TITLE: Youth Educator

REPORTS TO: Director of Youth Services

Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Youth Services Director, the Youth Educator will implement workplan activities for a variety of programs as designated by their supervisor. All aspects of Youth Services programming will be carried out through a team approach with a Director to oversee the department, and educators to facilitate programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

5 Full Time Americorps Position Available within Health Insurance Program

Health Access Specialist's will work closely with staff in our Health Insurance Program as the boots on the ground throughout a 5 county region of south central New York State (Broome, Chemung, Delaware, Otsego and Tioga). They will plan an integral role in building individual and community capacity in urban and rural communities linking people to needed health insurance/access knowledge through a wide range of activities such as outreach, community and school based education and informal counseling. They will provide accurate and up to date information about how to access coverage through the New York State marketplace and direct consumers to the in-person assistors (Navigators) who can provide health insurance enrollment assistance. Successful candidate will received training and will be assigned to various position functions based on personal expertise and interest areas and/or geographic locations.
