Call For Help (news item added 05/09/08)
M&BPN has been contacted by a writer from the Children's Defense Fund who would like to gather stories from families and document the affects of having or not having access to health insurance.
In an effort to guarantee nine million uninsured children and pregnant women access to the health care they need we are collaborating with Children's Defense Fund to gather stories from families who have suffered unnecessarily from lack of health insurance or who, once having obtained insurance, have seen their situations improve dramatically. These stories will be used for a variety of purposes with the Children's Defense Fund and for the media.
