On Sat., May 5th, M&BPN participated in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica at Otsiningo Park. The team raised a total of $1,230 to help fight birth defects.

Mothers & Babies 2006 Annual Dinner Program

The was held Thursday November 9 at the Binghamton Regency Hotel with over 90 attendees. Keynote speaker Donna Lawrence from Children's Defense Fund - NY presented the CDC campaign: Promoting National Health Care for Children. Also, Community Partnership Awards were presented to local media stations for their support of the Shaken Baby Syndrome Media Campaign. Award Recipients were RVSA Advertising Agency, WBNG, FOX40, Time Warner Cable, Citadel, Clear Channel Radio, Newschannel 34 and Magic 101.7-WLTB

M&BPN Honors Assemblywoman Lupardo

On May 5, 2006, Mothers & Babies Honored Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo for for obtaining a legislative grant to help the PAL Family Resource Center, several community members and media partners were in attendance. Assemblywoman Lupardos grant of $5,000 made it possible for the Binghamton PAL Center to establish a full-sized kitchen which consists of a stove, cabinets, a remodeled sink, and a refrigerator. The grant has also enabled the purchase and implementation of cooking carts at the Hillcrest and Endicott Family Resource Centers, run by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County. Center staff will be able to offer cooking demonstrations and food preparation for families visiting the center.
